Increasing importance of (remote) identity verification

ORIBI's investment in JanusID highlights the growing importance of ID verification and data protection. "The identity verification market is expected to grow by 30 – 40% annually in the coming years." says Ivo van Deudekom, Senior Investment Manager at Main. We see its importance in both KYC and KYE – in short, knowing with whom you are doing business and who you are hiring – increase rapidly." Main is strongly positioned in the security software market through previous acquisitions of Pointsharp in Sweden, Sivis in Germany and NFC specialist ReadID in the Netherlands.

In collaboration with ORIBI's existing management team, Main is exploring various growth opportunities, both in adjacent markets as well as within the segments in which the company is already active. With JanusID's solutions, the combined company will further strengthen its current position in the ID verification market and increase its expertise in especially the mobile segment.
