The municipality experienced this with a person who had a false driver's license with him and tried to identify himself with it. After suspicions arose, further investigation was conducted from Brussels, and it turned out that it was indeed a false document. "We are very pleased that we were able to intercept this," said Mr. Den Hert.
The City of Menen is currently using the Oribi solution in combination with the CEVI connection. If situations arise where it cannot be used as a joint connection, the Oribi solution can also be used as a "stand-alone" solution. The City of Menen thinks it is "fantastic" to use this solution against identity fraud and definitely recommend it to other cities/municipalities. "It has already proven its worth for us". We at Oribi also advise municipalities to definitely follow a training course for all employees after the solution has been installed. This is to be able to use the software as optimally as possible at the counter for all (future) citizens.
