    We screen everyone who comes to use a service, without exception. Our staff were a bit skeptical about this at first, but we've received little to no feedback from our citizens. They also understand that we must carefully verify identity. I find the preventative effect of ExpertID particularly important. We make no secret of the fact that we use ExpertID. This ensures that people with malicious intent will think twice before attempting anything with our municipality. This is perhaps the greatest success of implementing ExpertID.

    As with any investment, ExpertID required budget allocation. “Oribi's comprehensive quote helped me a lot in submitting the budget request. It quickly became clear that the financial risk far outweighed the investment, so the decision was made quickly. During the application process, the focus was on combating identity fraud, but we've now noticed that the process has also been accelerated. We no longer need to make copies, and everything is automatically stored securely and responsibly.”

    Until 2012, the Municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland used the traditional method of looking, feeling, and tilting to verify identity documents. This method was supported by training and Edison. Ruud Lak: “We also realized, of course, that document verification is crucial and that the method we were using was no longer sufficient. Oribi's solution immediately inspired confidence. During the presentation, it also became clear to us that training people is crucial, but not enough to combat identity fraud. Even an employee with 30 years of experience in this field couldn't detect some forged documents. This speaks volumes about how difficult it is.”

    "The training provided after the installation of ExpertID was very positive. On the one hand, it raised awareness of the dangers of identity fraud. On the other hand, employees received hands-on training with ExpertID. The interactive nature of the training makes it very informative. This contributed to the rapid adoption of ExpertID by our employees." Oribi provides on-site training to all employees. Topics covered include identity fraud, document training, and how ExpertID works in practice. In addition to training, Oribi clients can also use the Oribi support desk. "It's great that questions and comments are handled immediately. If I ask a question, I almost always receive an answer the same day. This is very helpful and gives us the assurance that we've chosen the right partner," says Ruud Lak, Civil Affairs Coordinator for the Municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland.
